The queen of the office
Misty arrived in 2020, already about 20 years old. Through Friends of Cats’ Lifetime Care program, she had a safe, loving home for the rest of her life.
She followed staff around the office, greeted visitors with confident meows, and made it known when she wanted to be picked up. Cheek scratches came with a loud purr. Sometimes, a little happy drool.
She was a cat with opinions, favorite people, and a place where she belonged.
A home for her final chapter
Misty lived to about 25. Her final five years were spent at Friends of Cats, surrounded by familiar people and daily care.
She died in 2025. We remember the personality she brought to the office and the affection she shared with the people around her.
Her story is part of what sanctuary means here: some cats find adoptive families, and others find their lifelong home with us.
