Shelter Hours
Friends of Cats is open 6 days a week to the public for adoptions, relinquishments, and volunteering. Staff members are present to attend to the cats every day, 365 days a year, although business hours are limited to the following:

The shelter is closed on Mondays, as well as the following holidays:
New Years' Day, Easter, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving day, Christmas Day.
Directions
From San Diego and the coast, take Highway 8 East to the Lake Jennings Park Road exit. From the stop sign at the end of the ramp, go straight on Olde Highway 80. The Shelter is about three miles further, on the right. Look for the sign on the chain link fence.
From Alpine and the east, take Highway 8 West to the Dunbar Lane exit. At the stop sign at the end of the exit, turn right. Go to the first street on the left, and turn left. Go straight on Olde Hwy 80 for about one mile; the Shelter is on the left. Look for the sign on the chain link fence.
Donations are gladly accepted by mail at 15587 Olde Hwy 80, El Cajon, Ca 92021 or P.O. Box 1613, Lakeside, Ca 92040, or in person at the shelter. We accept cash, checks and VISA/MASTERCARD.
